Curiosity can be a fickle sentiment, but as Sadira's parents would learn one day, if left unsated it can give birth to an unquenchable desire. As a child Sadira was only ever certain about one thing, indeed between the sporadic blackouts that plagued her youth and the mixed reactions they would induce from her instructors and fellow initiates, it was the one constant she could cling to for stability: she would walk the path of erudition and become savari'el like her father.
But during her childhood she became intrigued with life outside of Nir Kestan. Her fascination grew with each report given by the vas'irath to her father, detailing their encounters on distant worlds and the wonders they were privileged to see. Years later while undertaking the Trial of Attunement, her father mistook her enthusiasm in cataloguing artifacts brought back by the vas'irath as evidence of her expected alignment to the Savari discipline. When her true motivation surfaced it became a source of contention within the family and when she let slip her desire to be chosen as vas'irath, her father's pride was shattered into shame.
Family strife would soon prove to be the least of her concerns throughout the Trial of Attunement, with the fluctuation of stress and anxiety threatening to revive her childhood blackouts and scuttle her hopes of being aligned to the Vas'irath discipline. But determination and fortitude would eventually see her aspiration born to fruition.
